Is BuildBid free to use? ›
BuildBid is completely free during our beta period for both investors and contractors — no credit card required. When we launch publicly, BuildBid will move to a subscription-based model. Early beta members will receive priority access and exclusive early-adopter pricing before we go live.
How does contractor verification work? ›
Every contractor submits their state contractor license and certificate of insurance through the app. Our team manually reviews each document before approving their account. Contractors cannot bid on any job until they've been approved. Verification typically takes 24–48 hours.
What types of projects can be posted? ›
BuildBid supports residential and commercial real estate projects including general contracting, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, painting, landscaping, and more. If it's a trade that needs a license, it belongs on BuildBid.
How are payments handled? ›
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Funds are held in escrow and only released to the contractor when you approve each milestone in the app. Contractors upload progress photos with each payment request so you always know what you're paying for.
